The future has gone. We dream just once more of the past and flog a dead horse.

Con el paso del tiempo, el ser humano es más encerrado en su mundo personal e indiferente a los demás, incluso a los que ¨ama¨, mientras tenga su propio oxígeno, no le importa que el mundo se destruya... es una tragicomedia del mundo actual.

Translation: With the passage of time, human beings are more locked into their personal world and indifferent to the others, to which ¨Love¨/ Earth, while it has its own oxygen, does not matter to him/her that the World is being destroyed... it is a tragic irony of our present world.

The future is here... death, destruction, hunger, poverty..... this is what we were planning and preparing for all along... every safety gadget and tool, to protect us from mother nature's revenge and to protect us from ourselves...we are prepared and safe... through our bubble headcases and through sealed houses which ensure the safety of our flesh and through our INDIFFERENCE which blind our souls... to all feelings of empathy and compassion.

Afloat in our separate capsules. He reads the newspaper, she stares out the window and the girl, the girl sits on the floor in a shadow of rodents and falling leaves. The houseplant might well be plastic. The man, the woman, the child, might well be plastic. Enbubbled, the glass case they are kept in holds no kisses, no spoon held moment of steamy soup, "try this, is it spicy enough" no human breath clouds the glass where safety is synonymous with isolation and danger with intimacy. Oh my sorry astronaut, my dreamy lost spaceboy, astronomer to skies more punched in by light than adorned: We've known love fluent in this language: futurisitic, glass-helmuted, clean "alonese."

so many realities are there,
so many truths,
its not so much a world of isolation, but more one of impossibility to share. aint that a laugh, in the era of endless sharing technologies..

Given the storms in U.S. news of late, this seems an appropriately grim view of the future. Nature wreaking its revenge for centuries of mistreatment.

Humans soldier on however, finding the means to survive, blithe and not terribly concerned about the part they may have played. No air cars, or robots for this jetson-esque family. We can imagine that the man would have some strong opinions, and rant and rave about what lies within his paper, but doesn't get out of his arm chair very often.

Beauty shrivels, and rats -- the kinds of creatures that have done extremely well by us -- thrive.
